“My Mom made this recipe every Christmas when I was growing up and she still makes it to this day! I always like cutting out the shapes and decorating the cookies with icing and sprinkles. ”
- 1 cup(s) butter
- 1/2 cup(s) sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp(s) almond extract
- 2 1/4 cup(s) flour
- 1/4 tsp(s) baking powder
- 1/4 tsp(s) salt
Cream butter and sugar well. Beat in egg and almond extract. Gradually blend in dry ingredients, which have been sifted together. Roll out and cut cookies. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees F. Note: Be careful not to roll cookies too thin or they will burn!
