Rustic Swiss Almond Dip

  • 8 ounce(s) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 8 ounce(s) swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup(s) mayo
  • 1/2 cup(s) loosely packed chopped green onion
  • 1 generous pinch nutmeg
  • 1 generous pinch pepper
  • 1/2 cup(s) whole natural almonds (not roasted or salted or blanched), finely chopped by hand

Cooking Instructions

Spray a medium sized, shallow baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside. Mix all ingredients except almonds. All ingredients should be soft enough that you can mix by hand, no need for an electric mixer. Pour into baking dish and spread for even coverage. Top with half (1/4 cup) of the chopped almonds. Bake on 350 for 10-15 minutes, remove from oven, stir to incorporate almonds, smooth, top with remaining almonds and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Serve immediately with whole wheat Tostitos or chip/cracker of your choice.
