Merry Mulled Wine

“I received this recipe - along with a bottle full for sampling! - from a dear friend one Christmas. Now I always think of her whenever I make it.”


  • 1 quart of port wine
  • 1 3/4 cup(s) water
  • 2 sticks of cinnamon
  • 1.5 lemons, sliced
  • 1/2 to 2/3 cup(s) sugar, to taste

Cooking Instructions

Place all ingredients in a 2-quart pot and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Stir gently until sugar completely dissolves. Remove cinnamon sticks before serving. When ladling into glasses or mugs, it looks nice if each serving has at least one lemon slice.
