Brownies in a Jar

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup(s) Unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp(s) Salt
  • 1/3 cup(s) Cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup(s) Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup(s) White sugar
  • 4 ounce(s) Finely chopped dark chocolate

Cooking Instructions

Carefully fill a 25 oz. jar with the ingredients, in the order listed above to create layers. Seal the jar tightly.

Write the instructions on a label:

To make the brownies, add ½ c. water, ½ c. canola oil and 2 eggs. Whisk until the mixture is smooth. Pour into a greased 8-inch square pan lined with a strip of parchment paper. Bake in the centre of the oven for 35 to 40 minutes at 325°F until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with crumbs on it. Cool completely. Remove from pan and cut into squares. Makes 16 squares.
