Apple Pudding

“This is my mother-in-law’s traditional recipe and a Christmas classic!”

Ingredients

Apple mixture

  • 1/4 cup(s) butter
  • 1/4 cup(s) brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup(s) water
  • 3 apples

Pudding

  • 1/4 cup(s) butter
  • 1/4 cup(s) molasses
  • 1 cup(s) flour
  • 1/3 cup(s) sugar
  • 1/3 cup(s) boiling water
  • 1 tsp(s) baking soda
  • 1 tsp(s) baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp(s) cinnamon
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tsp(s) ginger

Cooking Instructions

Slice the apples into rounds and place in a 9 X 13-inch ovenproof dish.

Melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar. Add the water and pour over the apples.

Combine all remaining ingredients and pour over the apple mixture in the baking dish.

Bake at 375°F for 30-35 minutes.
